Everything parents ask before getting started — answered honestly and completely.
Fill out the short application on our Apply page. It takes about 2 minutes. Once we receive it, we'll reach out within 24 hours to schedule your free consultation call. There's no commitment required at that stage — it's just a conversation.
Yes, completely free. The consultation is a 15–20 minute call where we learn about your student's situation, goals, and challenges. It's also your chance to ask us anything. No credit card, no obligation.
In most cases, we can schedule the consultation within 1–2 business days of receiving your application. First sessions can typically begin within the same week, depending on schedule availability.
Our primary focus is high school students in grades 9–12. We work across all high school math courses — from Algebra 1 through Pre-Calculus, Statistics, and SAT/ACT Prep. In some cases we also work with 8th graders preparing to enter high school math.
Sessions are 60 minutes, one-on-one. This is enough time for focused, effective instruction without overloading a student in a single sitting.
For steady grade improvement, we recommend 1–2 sessions per week. For students preparing for an upcoming SAT/ACT or trying to recover a grade quickly, 2–3 sessions per week is more effective. We'll recommend the right frequency during your consultation based on the goal and timeline.
Yes. Online sessions are conducted via Zoom with a document camera, making it easy to work through problems together in real time. Students need a device with a camera and a stable internet connection.
We understand that schedules change. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule a session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee, which is outlined in the enrollment agreement.
Yes. Summer is actually one of the best times to work on math — either filling gaps from the previous year before they compound, or getting ahead for a challenging course in the fall. We offer full scheduling during summer months.
Session rates and package options are discussed during your free consultation. We customize plans based on your student's goals, timeline, and frequency needs. We offer both per-session rates and package bundles that provide savings for families who commit to a set number of sessions.
We accept payment via Zelle — fast, free, and built into most major bank apps. Send to our phone number or email (details on the Pay page). Credit and debit card payment via Stripe is coming soon.
No long-term contracts required. You can start with a session package and continue month to month, or stop whenever you feel your student has reached their goal. We believe results should speak for themselves — not contractual obligation.
We offer package pricing that reduces the per-session cost for families who commit to a block of sessions. Please mention any financial considerations during your consultation — we'll do our best to find an arrangement that works.
Most students experience a noticeable confidence boost within 2–3 sessions. Measurable grade improvement — a quiz or test score reflecting the work — typically shows up within 4–6 weeks. The timeline depends on the size of the gap, session frequency, and how much practice the student puts in between sessions.
You'll receive a written progress note after every session summarizing what was covered, what improved, and what's next. We also schedule monthly check-in calls with parents to discuss the bigger picture. You'll never be left guessing.
Almost always, yes. Hard-working students who still struggle are usually missing a foundational concept that was never fully understood — so everything built on it is shaky. Our diagnostic process is specifically designed to find those hidden gaps. Once they're filled, the effort your student is already putting in starts to pay off.
If we're not seeing measurable progress by week 6, we revisit the learning plan together. We'll adjust the approach, increase frequency if needed, or explore whether there are other factors at play. Our commitment is to your student's success — not just showing up and teaching.
That depends on the current score, the size of content gaps, and how much time is available. Typical outcomes from our 8–10 week program are 60–100+ points on the SAT math section and 3–5 points on the ACT math section. Some students see more; it always depends on the diagnostic results and the work put in.
Both tests cover similar content, but they reward different strengths. The SAT is heavier on algebra and data analysis, moves at a slower pace, and allows a formula sheet. The ACT covers more geometry and trigonometry, moves faster (1 min per question), and requires formulas from memory. We can help you decide after reviewing your student's diagnostic results.
For the best results, 8–12 weeks before test day is ideal. However, even a focused 4–6 week accelerated program can meaningfully move the score if the foundation is solid. Reach out as soon as you know the test date — even if it feels close.
